Arkansas' Small Town

A quick Google search of “small town Arkansas” yields Jasper as the top result. Locals would tell you there is good reason for this. Jasper sits in the heart of the Ozark Mountains and along the banks of the Little Buffalo River. The town has a picturesque downtown square filled with classical Americana design. The current local population sits at just under 500.

Tourism from the Buffalo National River largely drives the local economy. Established as the first national river in 1972, the Buffalo National River is famous for its towering rock bluffs and emerald colored water. The river attracts people from all across the United States to come camp, hike, and canoe.

In recent years, Jasper has grown as a hub for motorcycle and automotive enthusiasts. Drawn to the beautiful mountain views and the winding roads of Scenic Highway 7, Arkansas’ first state-designated scenic byway. Jasper is always a popular route destination during the yearly Blues, Bikes, and BBQ festival.
